Ian Gilbert is a sales strategist with more than 25 years building sales teams that…sell.

Ian started his career in Europe, honing his skills at companies like Reed Elsevier, HP, Parametric Technology and Cable & Wireless. Developing a reputation for common-sense and single-minded sales force development, he came to Canada in 2001, to help Telus hone its business sales strategy and operational execution capability. Ian’s work there contributed to the development of a selling organization that remains formidable today.

In 2004 he set up Third Core Venture Expansion Partners, a group that worked with startups and their investors to create and execute the most effective sales approaches, to fulfill growth or acquisition aspirations and to take the right steps towards revenue creation and sustainment. Over the last decade, Third Core has advised more than 250 entrepreneurial companies, worked in-depth with 75, driven revenue growth to 147% of those companies’ goals, and helped 9 companies to acquisition or IPO.

Ian is now Chief Revenue Officer for Agreement Express, the global leader in SaaS-based contract management software. He is also an advisor for Sector 75 and a core mentor for INcubes, two Canadian technology incubators.

Being a Welsh sales strategist, Ian’s main interests all involve a combination of rugby, beer and singing.
