Twenty years experience working as a creative strategist with top tier design and advertising agencies, across all media types.
Ray Marasigan is the creative director, designer and principal of Marasigan Design. With 20 years experience working with various design and advertising agencies, his career has involved working in the areas of corporate communications in both print and online, publication design, packaging design, environmental/exhibit design and web design. Through that time, Ray has been the creative strategist and art director on projects ranging from retail to government – a highlight of which, designing Health Canada’s tobacco warning labels in 2001 which became a model for tobacco warning labels around the world.
His career began in 1996 working with various design and advertising agencies such as DDB/Karacters, Cossette and Grey before co-founding Toque Industries–an interactive design company–in 2000.
Since 2003 Ray has operated Marasigan Design specializing in corporate communications servicing clients such as: The University of British Columbia, Science World at Telus World of Science, Kwantlen University, The Vancouver Film School, Global Television, Newalta, and The Arthur Erickson Foundation.
Ray has a degree in Visual Communications from the Alberta College of Art and Design and, in addition to his role as a creative strategist, is a former chair of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.
